Saving The Planet

Write a poem about recycling, Mrs Harries did ask.

Oh my God! Oh my God! I thought what a task.

I looked in my books and on the internet for some ideas of inspiration.

I soon realised that we must recycle to save our planet for the next generation.

What can I do? I am only a 9 year old child, But what is happening to the planet makes me so wild.

Then I saw my Mum throw away a bean tin. I told her she must wash it out and put in the blue bin.

She said why should she no-one else does it.

I said if we all throw things in the bin we would have to admit that this planet is doomed to be stinky and smelly and more global disasters we would see on the telly.

She said don't go on it was only - one can. I said it was not ,It was the future of man.

So she took the tin and washed it out clean and placed in the blue bin without causing a scene.

She promised in future she would not make the mistake to assume one can no difference would make.

By recycling that can she helped make the world a lot cleaner, and a bonus it makes the plants, grass and trees much greener.

So this 9 year old child has made something change, her Mums recycling ! ! ! It isn't so strange.

We just have to remember to save our earth from further abuse to follow three simple steps of REUSE! ,RECYCLE! and REDUCE!
